2023: Q1 Update, Roundup and Celebrating Blog Goals

I cannot believe that we are done with the first quarter of the year. The older I get, the more I realize the value of time. Being present in my life is a huge goal of mine. The best way for me to be intentional is to write and reflect on my goals. Not from a place of perfection, but as a mirror of where I am spending my time and what is getting in the way of my goals.

This past year (2022), I got in the way of my goals quite a bit. If you’re like me it’s easy to overthink and talk yourself out of what you want to do. I think that is why goal setting and writing it out is essential. Sometimes, you don’t remember what you wrote down until you go back and read it.

That is my word of the year, and it means the quality, condition or fact of being exact and accurate. This is my prayer when it comes to seeing God’s hand in 2023. That it will be full of precision. Exact answers to prayers. And I look forward to seeing how He will move!

Q1 Declarations.

When I walked into the new year, I did a Vision Manifesto via Valorie Burton. It is where those who participated took time to write out their vision for the year. Here are mine:

“I have deep, full, and purposeful relationships. They are full of care, consideration, and deep respect. My relationships reflect God’s love and they are a place for refilling and refueling. True support and humility are found in those I do life with. We surprise each other, we show up and we value each other’s BEST. It’s evergreen in the miracles we experience together.”

My work reflects joy, calm and peace. I love the work that I do. It is a place where I am reinvigorated and a space that gives people joy. I am known for my excellence, integrity, service and products. My words reach domestic and international spaces. My work opens the door for other to walk in their purpose. My work offers me the ability to take care of myself and my immediate family. I have a flexible schedule and my work takes me all over the world. Wealth comes from my work. Financial freedom follows me.

I am guided by Christ’s love and not performance. My faith is the foundation of life, love, business, relationships and finances. Everything I do flows from this place. I am a conduit of God’s love, which impacts everyone I encounter.

I am not afraid of abundance. I allow it to flow through me to others. My life will afford my parents the opportunity to live freely for the rest of their days.

I wake up every day with an active body and limbs. As I age my body gets better with time. I will move my body as a lifestyle. I am particular about what I put in my body. I have a healthy weight. My body EMBODIES rest, care, and stewardship. I will respect my body by what I say to it.

  • Incredible annual review at work. It made me realize how far I have come, the hard work I have put in, and the importance of not dwelling on past performance, but on getting better and growing
