Self-discovery is a journey we will be on for the rest of our lives. I believe we discover and re-discover ourselves in various life stages. Sometimes we learn what works for us, things that no longer work, or we are awakened to who we NEVER were. As I grow, evolve, and develop in my womanhood it’s been a journey learning about myself. I love seeing my friends evolve, grow, and become as well. Journaling is an essential tool for our personal development because its a catalyst for self-discovery. According to a 2013 study expressive writing in older adults and women aided in their wound healing. This is the perfect reminder of how our body, mind, and soul are connected.
Here are a 5 examples on the power of journaling (WEBMD 2021):
Regulates emotions
Can speed up physical healing
It creates awareness (i.e. self-discovery)
It can reduce anxiety
It helps to open you up

“Be healthy and take care of yourself. But be happy with the beautiful things that make you, you.”

Below I have listed out 30 self-discovery questions to help aid in your personal development. This will be a GREAT starter into this new year. If you are feeling bold, please share some of your answers below!
All my love,
